In trophology (the science of food combining) there are certain foods that should not be eaten together either due to their digestive rates, the effect on the acids in the stomach or one causing the other to putrify before it can be properly digested!.
I'm not sure exactly what is the case with the apple and the cheese, but it does not sound like the two go together!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
