Why did the Smarties ever stop doing the blue one?!

Question: Why did the Smarties ever stop doing the blue one!?
Answers:
Because it had artificial colourings in it!. Now they don't so they put them back in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In 2006 Nestlé removed all artificial colourings from Smarties in the UK, becasue there were concerns over the effect of chemical dyes on children's health!. Nestlé decided to replace all chemical dyes with natural ones, but as they were unable to source a natural blue dye, the blue Smarties were taken out and white Smarties were introduced in their place!. White Smarties were later removed from the range!
Blue Smarties were re-introduced using a natural blue dye derived from something called cyanobacteria spirulina!!

also, just so you know Smarties are neither kosher nor vegetarian!Www@FoodAQ@Com

it was previously impossible to create the agent needed for the blue smarties colour with natural ingredients and so to fit in with their campaign of "no artifical colours" they had to axe the blue, until now!!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There was a rumour going round that the food colouring agent used was carcinogenic, or contained the dreaded e-numbers!. Although not proven, it effected sales!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think because the blue ones had to much e numbers and artifical colourings and ingrediantsWww@FoodAQ@Com

i think it was because the blue one had the most colourings in causing hyperactivity although not 100%sureWww@FoodAQ@Com

It was actually a cyanide pill, so they had to stop cos they had complaints, I think anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

they had e numbers in the blue ones which send kids hyper, so now they've found a natural blur colouring which is safe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It was artificially colored, so glad it's back, it' my favoriteWww@FoodAQ@Com

Too many artificial colours in the blues, but they have bought them back nowWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's pure evil!.
