Why can't i taste something until after i swallow it?!

Question: Why can't i taste something until after i swallow it!?
Answers:
Most of the actual "flavor" of the food is from the scent - your taste buds can only differentiate between sweet, salty, sour, and bitter!. Because your throat is connected to both your nose and mouth, swallowing allows you to get the full effect because of the added sense of smell!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Thats impossiible, cause all your taste buds are on your tongue, such as salty, sour, sweet etc!. which triggers to your
brain before swallowingWww@FoodAQ@Com

it's probably just an aftertaste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
