I am on a limited budget?!

Question: I am on a limited budget!?
I can live without fruit, but I love vegetables!. I can deal with creative ideas for ramen soup!. I also like meat but do not have to have it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make with these ingredients:

Soup & Stews help extend your food budget, since you can add starch for filler (like rice, potatoes and pasta), or add beans for protein (tofu is a bean product)!.

Chili and stews can be eaten as a soup, or used as a thick sauce over rice or pasta!.

You can also boil ramen and drain then add seasoning/toppings for a new way of eating noodles!.

Get frozen mixed veggies and stir fry with soy sauce, oil and a bit of sugar!. Add sesame oil (regular or hot) to give it more body!. This basic stir fry can for the basis for more dishes - add protein (ground beef, diced chicken, spam, hard tofu) and more spices (curry, garlic powder, onion powder, basil cilantro) for variety!. Serve dry or wet (add corn starch thickening technique) on top of rice!.

With tofu, I'd recommend cranking up the seasoning and using medium tofu to improve the experience, although tougher to master!. Medium to needs to stay wet and fried in medium heat (not high) oil, or else it sticks!.

Good luck!

You can always cook enough for two meals, which provide some economy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I live on a fixed income too!.
I would spend the 25 dollars on fruits and vegetables and if I lived where I could garden I would have used part of that money to buy seeds so I could plant more vegetables!.
I think you can probably afford beans and rice which is affordable - you really don't need meat very often - people in our country eat it way too much - in most countries they only eat it occasionally - usually at special events!.!.

if you meet income requirements try to see if there's a food pantry or a church or income assistance that can help you!. $25 doesn't buy much food - not enough to get by on really!. At least not for me!.

honestly you need to eat enough quality food to keep you healthy - which I think is more important than balancing your budget - because if you get sick and die then what good is the money!.

I wouldn't live without fruit - it should make up a pretty good percentage of your diet!.

I'd eat mostly fruit, some vegetables, some nuts, some beans some rice some meat if you like it!.

thats what I do and I'm pretty limited for money myself!.

I eat a lot of bananas!.!. they're fairly cheap!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
