No, you're not taking away from the nutritional value!.!.!.it still contains the same vitamins in the vegetables!. It's just that when you add butter, you're adding extra calories and saturated fat (the bad kind of fat) that you don't need!. Instead of butter, try using olive oil (Monounsaturated fat which is the fat that's good for your heart) and lemon juice!. Or just season it with some herbs/spices which generally don't have very many calories and no fat!. You can also add vegetables into pasta dishes or have a salad with a light vinegrette dressing!. The best ways to cook your vegetables are in the microwave, grilling, blanching them, or some sort of quick cooking method- that way you retain the vitamins!. If you cook it too long or basically cook it to death (for example, boiling), the vitamins can disintegrate and you lose nutritional value that way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No you aren't taking away the nutritional value, just adding a little fat and flavor!.

If you need to lose weight or have heart issues, then you can use chicken broth with herbs or some other flavored liquid to cook your veggies in!. Sometimes a quick saute in a nonstick pan with garlic and very little olive oil, just a teaspoon or less is a great way to cook vegetables too!.

Once the veggies are already cooked though, it is harder to put something on them to make them much more flavorful!. I myself don't have a problem with a little real butter now and again for flavor!. But if you're worried, you could get a "misto" (a little spray bottle to put olive oil in) and mist them lightly with it so any seasonings you might like to add will stick!.!.!.

No!. Adding a small amount of butter to your vegetables for flavor is not negatively affecting your 'nutrional' value since butter itself is good for you in small quantities!.

Yes there are tons of ways you can make vegetables taste better!. You can mix them in a stir fry with sauce and setien, you can make a sandwich with them, a grilled vegetable quesadilla or pizza, you can make a veggie wrap with them with tortilla or pita and hummus!. Mix them together with your favorite sauce, make a veggie bake potato, even make ratatouille!
