Food aphrodisiacs?!

Question: Food aphrodisiacs!?
I just read an interesting article in the paper which made me spawn this question!.
what is your experience with using food or beverage products as an aphrodisiac!.
which ones did you try and which do or do not work on you!.
(no need to get too graphic)
and for the biology and and science geeks why do certain products work on people and why not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
i believe those products that makes your heart beat faster can be called aphrodisiacs because then you feel exited and want to um get into some action!.

i don't think that pineapple juice, strawberries, peppers, garlic or whatever is aphrodisiac!.

once i've read an article about how products that were consumed as aphrodisiacs changed over centuries, and there was a conclusion saying that exotic food/drinks are usually believed to add some spices into love life!. there was a great example: potatoes were considered aphrodisiac in europe when they where brought there from america for the first time because they were soooo exotic and strange!.

too bad i don't have a link!.

edited: i think if you really believe that i!.e!. chocolate makes you horny, then it will work for you!. otherwise it won't help at all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
