Can I mail my biscuit?!

Question: Can I mail my biscuit!?
Okay, this may sound kinda silly, but here goes!.!.!.

My boyfriend is currently away at Marine Corps OCS!. Before he left we both tried to make biscuits and failed horribly!. I tried to make him some for a surprise breakfast!.!.!.and he tried to make some to prove that he could, and I couldn't!. What a sweetheart, eh!? Anyway, I found out we were using the wrong kind of flour!

I've since mastered the biscuit and he wants me to send him one!. He is 800 miles away!. I know that standard mail takes roughly three days to get there!. I could send it first day or something, though!.

Biscuits last about a week if stored right, so I think I could do it!. What do you think!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd wait until it is completely cooled down (so the moisture from it doesn't make it soggy), pack more than one into a Ziplock baggie and try to suck the air out (either vacuum seal or smoosh as much air out as you can by drawing air out with a straw in a corner of the bag before sealing it)!. More than one biscuit would keep the other moist!.!.!. you could also pack a slice of Wonder bread with the biscuit (that also provides moisture)!. If he lives somewhere hot, you could pack the biscuit with a frozen cold pack in its own ziploc baggie with paper towels around it to absorb the moisture(I've ordered chocolates from a company and they sent it with a cold pack and the chocolates weren't melted or anything when it arrived in 2 days via Priority Mail)!.

If you're going to spend the money on postage, you might as well pack other goodies, too that he likes (since it'll cost the same if you use a one-rate Priority Box or send Overnight)!.!.!.

That is so sweet of you to do! Please send me your recipe ;o)!. I'm trying to bake good biscuits, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

your idea is ok but use the plastic wrap or cling wrap to keep the moisture IN!. each!.!.!.store 4 -6 in the zip lock and don't forget the C-Chip cookies and red rope candy!.!.sunflower - pumpkin seeds - jerky or hot sticks sausage!.!.
There may be a base PX but no time to to travel!.!.!?!?!?
ANYHOW it is the thought that counts!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I once mailed a pancake (no syrup) in a ziplock bag, and my cousin got it in good condition, so I don't see how a biscuit is different!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try vacuum sealing it!.!.!. I don't see how that wouldn't hold for 3 days!. But that also might squish it!. They have vacuum sealer jars, I guess that's what I would use!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Send a photograph instead, maybe with you eating it!. You could say you were looking forward to him returning to share breakfast with you or whatever!.

ok!.!.!.!.sureWww@FoodAQ@Com

Wrapped in plastic wrap, in a zip-lock baggie should be ok!. The paper towel might draw all the moisture out, and make it too dry:) !.!.!.!. Priority mail takes 2-3 business days, so don't sent it after Wednesday (or it could sit in the post office over the weekend) !.!.!.!.!.Overnight express is VERY expensive to send a biscuit!:) But, it's a sweet thought:) !.!.!. Flat rate priority boxes cost $9!.80 to send to APO boxes, and you can get up to 70 lbs in there! The boxes, labels & tape are free at the PO, and they should even give you a discount for sending to an APO box!. So, you could fill the box with lots of other goodies for him too!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
