Has anyone ever cooked FuFu out of the box?!
I never ate it and wanted to try it so I went to an African Market saw a box and read the directions, it seemed simple so I bought it!. Once I tried to cook it, those instructions were difficult to follow!. Maybe I did something wrong!. it did not taste bad, I was just unable to shape it and it seemed like I did not have enough water!. I measured the water and flour according to the instructions but the middle was still "floury" and uncooked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cassava, Corn, Sweet Potato or Millet!?!?!?, I have done them from packages and from flours from West African stores, even pound raw grains also!. The best thing to do is after you have got it to blend turn off the heat and stir it hard, until it comes away from the pot, even a bit of kneading like bread on a board or plate can help make it more elastic!.
I knew a Ghanaian lady and she made it with and for here Goat and Okra stews and Fish dishes, she showed me that way of cooking until dry and slightly massaging it into the portion size balls!. If you need any further help drop me a line, I will help were I can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
