Bought some old (22-44 yr) soda in a glass bottle..is it safe to drink?!

Question: Bought some old (22-44 yr) soda in a glass bottle!.!.is it safe to drink!?
I was at an antique shop today and bought a small bottle of "Teem" soda for $3!. I had never heard of it, and it wasn't opened!. I found many articles about drinking old soda out of cans and plastic bottles, but never anything about glass specifically!. It is anywhere from 22-44 years old, according to wikipedia!. i!.e!. the time it was introduced to the time it was discontinued!. I am aware it may have lost carbonation and possibly flavor (not too many bubbles) but the nagging question is, IS IT SAFE!?!? Unless someone can prove to me that I got a bargain and that I should keep it so it can appreciate!.

Thanks!.

Matt,
Ignore her, It does not harm you at all, I promise, When you leave a bottle of pop a long time, or a can of pop, The only thing that happens is it goes flat!.

I have extremely old CocaCola bottles in my bedroom, I'm talking, THICK GLASS bottles, i drank one, and it tasted like Flat pop, I am still alive, I promise you that!.

As for the "Teem" Soda, the only thing I found was it didnt go to well, then a few years past and they came out with 7-UP and SPRITE, its all the same!. So since it was a discontinued product, and not because it was a "limited edition soda", its because the low sales rate!.

Unless you find someone who likes to collect it, just because, like red button collectors, just because!.!.!. then Drink up!.

I hope I helped!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't drink it but I do remember Teem!.
It was a pretty good drink!.
Like Dexter G said it was like a sprite, 7-up or something in that line of drinks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i don't think its safe! every bottle has an expiration date, after that all the ingredients become poison the same happens with canned products!. just keep it as a sourvenirWww@FoodAQ@Com

trying looking it up on ebay, maybe some guy with tons o'extra cash will want to buy it to add to his old glass soda bottle collection!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
