Lunch for a day hiking trip?!


Question: Lunch for a day hiking trip!?
We're going hiking and/or to a campground for the day tomorrow and we need lunch ideas!. There is a fire ban so no campfires!. Something easy would be good!. There are 6 of us!. Any suggestions!? Thanks!. =]Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nothing that would be dangerous if un-refrigerated!!!!
Fresh fruits and cookies are good, as well as carrot or celery with peanut butter dip!. Then, pita bread with a filling that is pretty safe such as hummus or cheese rather than meat which might not be safe if not cold!.
Freeze some 1 or 2 liter bottles of water, they will melt and still be cold when it is time for lunch!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would take oranges or any fresh fruit, tuna or chicken sandwiches, chips, trail mix, and Gatorade!. If you can't take a cooler go to the link below and it will tell you safe foods that do not need to be refrigerated!.
