Answers:
No!. Pork & beans have little white "Navy" type beans in them with lots of sugar and little cubes of salted sow belly!.
Pinto beans are a variety of beans!. The dried ones have spottled markings on them!. I cook them in a pressure cooker which takes about 40 minutes!. If you cook them on the stove top in a pan it will take 3 or 4 hours!. You can add dead pig to them if you want to but I don't!. I add salt, cummin, garlic and ground up smoked anaheim peppers to them after I open up the pressure cooker and cook them in an open pan for about another 10 minutes!.
Pintos are my favorite beans and fresh picked green, black eyed peas are wonderful too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Typcially, traditional pork & beans uses white beans, although you could probably get away with a variety of types of beans as long as you use the correct ingredients!.

Pinto beans would more often be used in traditional Spanish dishes!.!.!.while there is pork (pork salt, bacon, sausage, etc!.) used in the dish, the spices are different!. Think refried beans as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
