Boyfriend can't stand vegetables or fruit. Is there any supplements?!
He really can't stand vegetables, it doesn't matter if we try to hide them or even blend them he will still notice and will avoid them!. He's not just being funny he really doesn't like them and I don't know hat to do as I know this could affect his health!. He likes fruit flavours but not the textures, I have thought about making smoothies for him but wonder if anyone else has any ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

OK, as single bloke, I understand that my diet can sometimes be a little 'unbalanced'!. Therefore, I regularly take multivitamin and iron tablets, plus cod liver oil capsules!. I get mine from ASDA and they only cost about £2 each for 180 (ie!. 6 months)!. However, I also understand that these are a supplement, not a substitute!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
ok, so, i know you say he doesn't like veggies but, try out this!. its a secret smoothie mix!.
*fill the blender a little under 1/3 of ice
*add 1 orange
*add (about 1) grapefruit
*add 5-7 baby carrots!.
*add one container of vanilla (or other flavoured) yogurt
blend!.
i really hope this works! if it doesn't all fit, try less ice //_^Www@FoodAQ@Com

Those little 5!.5 oz!. cans of V8 vegetable juice claim to have a full serving of vegetables in them!. If he will try one, maybe he'll go for it!. You can get them with or without a shot of hot sauce in them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Supplements have proven to be a hell of a lot less effective than a healthy, balanced diet!. Smoothies may work, but goingwithout any fruit and veg means going without many essential vitamins and minerals!. In a few years, he'll have scurvy and ricketts among other problems!.
Tell him to stop acting twelve!. Unless he is twelve!.
Edit: I don't find it hard to believe that some people dislike fruit and veg!. I find it hard to believe that some people downright refuse to touch the things!. And yes, even though your dad's 51, I'd say that he still had a blatantly childish attitude to food!. I'm sure his doctor told his much the same!.
Personally, I hate brown bread and I hate salads!. Yet, I realise that brown bread is probably (for me at least) one of the easiest ways of getting plenty of fibre in my diet!. So pretty much every sandwich I eat is on brown bread!. And salads, as bland and as un-filling as I find them, are obviously one of the healthiest 'meals' around, and forcing one down once or twice a week certainly doesn't do me any harm!.
I thought most people were mature enough to realise that, although enjoying food is important, a balanced diet is much moreso!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ugh, mine's the same!. The only thing he'll touch is carrots and cauliflower!. If it's green, he won't have it!. And he hates the texture of fruit, but doesn't know why, yet he drinks fruit juices!. We're trying hot fruit this weekend to see if that might make a difference!. Other than that, try finding a smoothie he likes!. Or get him to have one of those tiny little drinks (they've only got one big gulp in them but are supposed to have a whole portion of fruit/veg)!. Vitamins are supplements, not replacements!. I'm hoping one of these will help my guy as well, as you can develop type 2 diabetes from bad food habits!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Omg, I am in the SAME situation!
My boyfriend can't stand the textures of vegetables or fruit but can drink fruit juices!.
We were just speaking about his habit last night, come to think of it!.
I told him we have to go try the Reggae Reggae Chicken Sub from Subway and he was like "The idea was good until I saw the advert!.!.!.it has too many vegetables in it!. But you can get one though!"
I reminded him he doesn't need to get the salad but he said it was the imade that ruined it for him!.
Gosh, he needs a slap, lol!.
But, I've helped him try new things like veggie sushi along with normal sushi, and he likes the seaweed (nori)
He still picks the peppers or tomato off pizza but he reckons I could probably get him to eat SOME vegetables or fruit!.
He says the only veg he can stomach is mushroom!.!.!.then again, that's a fungi but even the toppings on a home-made pizza are good!.
Just blitz up the veggies into a paste and add them to the tomato sauce!.
You can even add carrot juice to orange juice just to give your boyfriend the extra vitamins!. And it tastes good!.
My boyfriend says I could probably hide veg in a Shephard's Pie but as long as he doesn't find any lumps in it, he's fine!.!.!.otherwise it will ruin it for him so you're going to have to treat him like a child in THAT sense!.
Smoothies are good, too!.!.!.try the ones with no bits!. They're better, even for me!.
Adding a dollop of ice cream balances it out too!. Even home made ice cream with real fruit blitzed up into a coulis and then make the ice-cream as usual adding the fruit coulis to it whenever you like!.
There are so many ways!.
My boyfriend and I don't live with each other yet so he can eat whatever he wants at the moment but when we do, I'll make it my goal to get him to eat whatever I make, no fuss!.!.!.
Muahahaha!Www@FoodAQ@Com
