What's the difference between ice cream and soft serve?!

Question: What's the difference between ice cream and soft serve!?
Yesterday I went to the store with my kids and we bought Nestle Smartie Ice Cream

We got home and the kids noticed it actually doesn't say ice cream, it says Soft Serve

I always thought of Soft Serve as the stuff that comes out of the machines and swirls!.

Any thoughts on our purchase!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
-Soft serve (also called creemee or soft ice cream) is a frozen dessert that is dispensed from a machine instead of being served by hand!.
-Ice cream or ice-cream (originally iced cream) is a frozen dessert made from dairy products, such as milk and cream, combined with flavorings and sweeteners, such as sugar, and possible other ingredients!. This mixture is stirred slowly while cooling to prevent large ice crystals from forming; the result is a smoothly textured ice cream!.

Hope I helped!Www@FoodAQ@Com

soft serve ice cream is just when it's really creamy and soft, while regular ice cream is harder!. i think it's just as good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
