Its raw salmon slivers (not sushi) that my boss puts on crackers with creamcheese, dribbles a bit of lemon on along with salt and pepper!. I went to get it recently but they gave me the wrong thing, its was cooked!. it comes in packets that almost remind me of the larger beef jerky packets (im talking about just what the salmon is called)!. if anyone could help me out that would be great!. ive really been craving it and my boss has been away for a week so i cant ask him!. thanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
the three main processed salmon products avaliable in the grocery store are smoked salmon!. Usually in chunks with a chewy texture I like it blended into cream cheese or processed in a salmon mousse!. Lox!. A Mildly processed ( Northern European Style) salmon filet that is sliced very thinly!. Gravalax which is salmon that is "cooked" with vinegar and spices and such!. also commonly sliced very thinly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Could be lox(very salty), Nova lox(less Salty) or gravlax(best flavor and best texture)Www@FoodAQ@Com
