The Oven in the old TV sitcom' Bewitched'where can I get this kind of Oven?!
Hi friends;
Have searched high & low asked questions to almost all those who make branded ovens if they have ovens that have doors that opens upwards instead of the normal ones that open towards you or those that open on one side
Those who have seen this TV sitcom will have noticed the oven that is shown in this sitcom- What a sensible way to make an oven door- there is so little chance of getting burnt those who use ovens have you not had a problem when you need to take large dishes out off a hot oven!?The door goes almost 1 foot towards your chest so either you have to have real long arms or stand sideways and be real careful when removing the hot container In the TV program the oven door swings opens upwards thus leaving a good helpful space between the oven and user-
Can any one on this board let me know what Brand this oven was!? even if I get an old one I will be willing to go for it! If I just know the make/brand I can then try to do some research ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

The oven is a Frigidaire Custom Imperial Flair oven!. Check out http://obviousdiversion!.com/personal/fri!.!.!. for a downloadable owners manual and do a google search for the model name!. You will find several for sale!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I know the oven you mean (I'm a big Bewitched fan!), it was fab!. It was also the same oven used in Sindy houses in the 70s, so I'm guessing it was a US one!. My best answer is to contact the guys at the Bewitched website (see link) they're massive afficionados and what they don't know about the show isn't worth knowing!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Upwards doors are not carried by many manufacturers, but this site has a wonderful compromise!. the oven door is retractable and slides in on itself!. Check it out!.!.!.!.
