Philadelphia cheese is there a difference in taste between the us one and the UK or does it taste the same?!

Question: Philadelphia cheese is there a difference in taste between the us one and the UK or does it taste the same!?
Answers:
"Philadelphia" has come to be used by some as a generic term for cream cheese because Kraft has advertised it so heavily over the years!. It usually costs a bit more as a result, but "Philadelphia brand cream cheese" is pretty the same as any brand of cream cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As Kaye rightly states, "philly" has become a generic term for cream cheese, and I think that you will find little difference unless they are flavoured with chives, onions etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its the same!. Its just a type of cheese like Edam or Cheddar!.
