Why can't you fill a water dispenser with another liquid besides water?!


Question: Why can't you fill a water dispenser with another liquid besides water!?
(The dispenser where you put 5 gallon jugs and are typically in offices!.!.) I know youre not supposed to!.!.but I just want to know why can't you!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Physically, there is no real reason why you cannot!. As long as it is of similar density (most soft drinks are) then you can, it will just be more difficult to clean!. There may able to pressure problems with a carbonated drinkWww@FoodAQ@Com

There is no harm in filling the bottle with some other drink as long as it is not very thick like pure juice!. Dispensers are not designed for the flow of viscous liquids, secondly it become very difficult to clean the system when you have to use it for water again, thirdly there is a chance of fermentation of sugar in the juice if it gets contaminated or stays for long!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because other liquids would require the inner dispenser parts to be washed with soap afterwards to keep it sanitary!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
