Answers:
Butter could be left out of the fridge and won't spoil, as long as it is covered in a proper butter tray or the like!. Goat cheese is different, but if you take it out 1/2 an hour before use, it should be soft enough for use!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For your butter, you can buy a butter crock!. It will allow you to keep the butter at room temperature without spoiling for about a month!. I don't know if I'd use it for goat cheese, but hopefully that will solve one of your problems!

I like to take my butter out of the fridge about 10 minutes before I want to use it!. But if I'm in a hurry, 5 seconds in the microwave does the trick!. Any longer than that makes a mess!. Can't help with the goat cheese, though!. I've never had it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Leaving them out for about 10 minutes so they're more spreadable is perfectly acceptable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

5-10 seconds in the microwave!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take them out of the fridge a couple of hours before serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
