Coffee helps boost energy, curb appetite and burn calories!.!.!.!. and you thought it was all bad! It's not; a cup or two of coffee in the morning actually has quite a few health benefits!.
Bananas and citrus fruits also provide a lot of morning energy!. And, I know people don't like to hear it, but carbs will keep you full and provide plenty of energy until lunch!. A muffin, bagel or something like that (avoid the pastries and donuts) will give you plenty of energy and keep you full!.
Now, here's the kicker!.!.!. nutritionists are now saying it may be better to eat a large, carb-and-protein heavy breakfast to start your day!. The reason is because this jump-starts your metabolism and keeps you full until dinner, so you only need a light lunch!. This is especially helpful if you're active during the day!.
So, maybe the bacon, eggs and pancakes aren't such a bad idea!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eat some complex carbohydrates and some protein, and jazz it up with fruit!.
Suggestions: (eat one from column a and one from column b)
A
cup of lo-fat yogurt
2 tbsp of peanut butter
1 hard-cooked egg
1 slice of canadian bacon or lean ham
8 oz of soy milk
B
whole-grain english muffin
1 piece of whole-grain toast
1 cup instant oatmeal (unflavored or apple-cinnamon only, the others have too much sugar)
a bowl of non-sugared whole-grain cereal
It's important to eat less sugar and more whole grain, and some protein!. Stay away from fruit and muffin breakfasts, high fat/high sugar items like Starbuck's pastries or sweetened coffees, doughnuts and sweet rolls!. Stay away from fast foods with the SOLE EXCEPTION of McDonald's Egg McMuffin, which is actually okay to have once in a while!.
(It's lower in fat and calories than any other choices!.)
Eating a larger balanced breakfast in the morning will often make you feel better, more alert, less sleepy and hungry before lunch, so you won't eat as much and you wont' crave carbs!.
BTW: Coffee and tea are fine--but!.!.!.you need to keep the sweeteners and creamers down to a low roar! Stay away from Starbucks and those sorts of things: the lattes, cappucinos, etc!. are nutritionally horrible!
