Question: What benefit is there to toasting bread instead of just eating it untoasted!?
If there is no benefit, how much electric energy is wasted on toasting in the U!.S!. of A!., do you think!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
For me there is no benefit to toasting bread since I am on a raw, all-cold food diet!. You would be suprised at how much electricity is used to toast bread, especially in restaraunts where they have the large toasting machines that continously run for 24 hours straight!. I can tell by reading your other questions that you ask them just to get people ranting, and they are light hearted and don't even have a serious tone!. It is funny to read the rants though!. GOOD JOB :) they probably believe my all cold diet bs as wellWww@FoodAQ@Com

tastes better toasted
butter melts
warm food

!.!.!.if you got this idea about "wasting electricity" from parents, may i suggest some counseling!. You HAVE been mentally abused, and iut'll make you a screwball adult, unliked by others!.
It isnt NORMAL to rty and figure out ways to not fluch the toilet and live like a weirdo to "save energy"

Oh, we're going to get bent out of shape over toasters now!? Not full-size SUV's, or incandescent light bulbs left on all day!.!.!. but toasters!?

Come on, toasted bread is great!. Have you ever tried to smear butter or jelly on a floppy slice of white bread!.!.!. it sucks! Toast is awesome and its great for sandwiches!.

If you don't like toast, or you're ok with regular bread, just don't toast yours!. At least you're doing your part!. also, go buy a Prius, start using CFL's, dry your clothes on a line, turn off the television, get rid of your refrigerator, cook over an open fire pit!.!.!.!.!.!. on and on and onWww@FoodAQ@Com

This might seem nasty, but if your loaf of bread is getting stale or hard, toasting it kind of rejuvenates it long enough to eat a piece or two without throwing it all in the trash!. (That's what my mom always says!.!.!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you kidding me!. Wasting energy on toasting bread - how about just turning some lights off in your home to make up for it!. Or opening the windows instead of using central air all the time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think there are far greater wastes of energy taking place than toasting bread!. Lets focus on the big problems first, then take care of the small stuff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
