I was boiling eggs and the glass at the bottom of my saucepan blew up. Is it safe to use?!

Question: I was boiling eggs and the glass at the bottom of my saucepan blew up!. Is it safe to use!?
I don't know what happened, but the glass lining at the bottom of the inside of a saucepan blew up as the water came to a boil!. I cleaned it up, but now all that's left is a normal metallic bottom!. Is it safe to use this pan anymore, and can anyone tell me why this happened!. Scared the crap out of me!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Probably not; the metal was designed to be used with the glass lining!.
