Question: I am addicted to sweets, chocolate and candy! HELP!!?
I have an addiction to chocolate, sweets or candy!. It is annoying!. If there are chocolates anywhere in the house I will eat it, but I am not fat, I am the complete opposite!.
My sister got angry at me yesterday because I ate a whole tub of toffee sweets which are for emergencies (she has diabetes, and she needs sugar when he blood sugar level is low)!.
If I am given a chocolate bar, I will eat it all at once and cannot resist!.

HELP!

I went to my friends place a few weeks ago and he had a bag of jelly snakes on the table which were open, I couldn't resist and ate like!.!.!. 5!.

Now I am scared my teeth are smashed! The middle one snapped in half the other day and I am scared they are all brittle!
HELP! I need someone to get me out of my addiction! It is ruining my teeth!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you do the Atkins diet it takes away addiction to sugar and carbs!. I used to have an uncontrollable to eat anything sweet if it was around, and although I'm not on the Atkins diet anymore, I don't have that craving I used to have!. It has not effect on me!. I can have a few bites and let it go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Imagine yourself in, say, ten years!. You've gained fifty pounds; jiggley pounds!. Your teeth are yellow!. Some have been pulled out and some are still in your scull rotting!. You've been pre-diabetic but now you're full blown diabetic and you STILL can't stop!.
Your relationships are limited to watching daytime TV; you can't work or even earn money because your fugly (ugly and fat!) and your car is broken down and the driver's side seat done sunk!
The only guys who would date you you wouldn't date in a million years!. Bull dykes are eying you voraciously and you're actually considering it!

People usually do what they want to do!

Hope this helped!

OK, i understand where you are coming from!. I'm not overweight either, but there have been days (many in fact) when i have eaten a hugh block of chocolate or half a tub of ice-cream or an entire packet of donuts!. The first thing is to find out why you are addicted!. For me it was emotional problems; i moved away from home to study and when i felt homesick and lonely, I ate!. I also ate when I was bored or stressed!. Once I realised what was happening, i took the first step, which was not buying it (or at least not in great quantities)!. I have no illusion over my self control now, and will not buy huge amounts of chocolate even if its cheaper!. If you are not the one buying it; then tell your family your problem and ask them to either not buy them or hide them from you!. You can't eat it if its not there!

You should also think about adopting a low GI diet!. This just means you would be eating foods which have a low glymemic index and therefore have little effect on your blood sugar!. This should help minimize cravings and make you feel fuller, longer!.

You need to also make sure that you stop eating other peoples food!. Mentally tell yourself that its off bounds and therefore doesn't exist!.

See a dentist ASAP about your teeth, and a doctor who can see what your diet is lacking!. I have never heard of brittle teeth because of sugar, just cavites!. Good luck! I still struggle with it still somedays, but much less often!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
