Strawberry containing mold?!

Question: Strawberry containing mold!?
If there's a strawberry that has one spot of mold on it, can I still cut off the moldy spot and eat it!? I always thought that if something gets a spot of mold, the whole thing is contaminated and you shouldn't eat it!. I started hearing that you can just cut off the mold and eat the rest!.!.!.It sounds a little gross!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The rest is probably still good, but it's up to you really!. If you're not comfortable eating it, then don't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I must admit I have done it, but it is a big no no!. If there's mould you can see, there's also mould you cant see!. The whole punnet will be contaminated and should be chucked!. Same with other foods - it's the fridges way of saying "please clean me"! If you do just cut it off, make sure you give the rest of the strawberries and really good wash and you should be ok!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
