Is it bad for you to eat out of date confectionery and other biscuits?!

Question: Is it bad for you to eat out of date confectionery and other biscuits!?
My boyfriend buys a lot of out of date waffles and chocolate and biscuits form an asian shop!. Some of the things he buys expired in 2006, some even earlier!. He argues that if he doesn't get sick straight away- they don't do him any harm!. Is this true, or do the out of date preservatives and other additives slowly poison his body!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
By federal law, all food manufacturers are required to put a "use by" or "expiration" date on all food products!. Most of the time, a food item is still ok to eat after the date of expiration!.!.!.!.BUT!.!.!.!.!.occasionally it is not!. Because you are not able to see, smell, or taste alot of different bacterias, you are not able to tell which foods are still ok and which ones aren't!. My suggestion to you is to throw it out!. It's just not worth the risk of getting sick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It Will not necessarily poison you!.
