Calories in a medium-sized jacket potato that weighs a lot?!

Question: Calories in a medium-sized jacket potato that weighs a lot!?
I read that a medium sized jacket potato should weigh around 180g and contain around 252 calories, but I've got a jacket potato that looks a smallish medium size (definitely not a large potato) but according to my scales it weighs 330g (!)!.!.!.if a 180g potato has 252 calories then this potato would be something like 400+ calories! That seems ludicrous for the potato's size!.

I am confuzzled!. Is weight or size a better indicator when trying to work out how many calories in a jacket potato!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
There are 57 calories in a medium sized jacket potato!. If you add butter to it add another 36 calories for a pat!. So, it's not actually the potato itself that contains the calories its the stuff you put on it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the bigger the potato the fewer calories!. Its called the slitzenbeurg theoryWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would have thought the weight was the thing!. 330g is a pretty big spud in anyone's book! And don't go putting butter all over it, will you!?!Www@FoodAQ@Com
