Are my Spaghettios safe to eat?!
A few days ago when I was getting groceries, I picked up couple of cans of Spaghettios!. I put the bags in the backseat of the car!. Apparently I didn't notice they were missing until today when I found them under the backseat!. The must've rolled when I was going up a hill or something!. They've been sitting in the hot car for about 4 days now!. I just ate a can!. They tasted fine, but do you think they are!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

That is why they invented the method of food preservation called "canning"!. Instead of glass jars that we use at home, the food manufacturers process food in metal containers at extreme high heat and under pressure to produce a food that can be kept at normal temperatures for extended amounts of time!. Yes, food that is in a metal can (and glass jar for that matter) with no dents or holes that produce a bulging can is safe to eat! Even if the can is over a year old or has been left in a hot car!. The clue there was the bulging can!. Organisms that enter the can through the dent puncture produce gas that makes the can bulge!. This food is NOT safe to eat!

Well!.!. to tell you the truth, the cans could have been sitting on a shelf in a hot warhouse for two years before being shipped out to the store you got them at!. Instead of spaghettios, you should have bought a three pound box of spaghettie at Wall Mart for $2, + a big can of 99 cent spaghettie sauce!. The spaghettie would have lasted you over a month, and the sauce you could buy whenever you was going to eat spaghettie!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I am sure they were fine!. What do you think happens in the delivery trucks on the way to the store!? Same thing! I am sure you have nothing to worry about!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I know the spaghettios were safe because they tasted fine right but next time that happens make sure you test it first and double check if it's rotten or not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
