-Clipping coupons is a great start - product and store coupons

-Buy the fruits and vegtables that are in season!. Even better, go to a local farmers market!. They are usually cheaper there then the supermarket!. And if you can, grow your own garden to save the most money!.

- Buy white eggs!. They are cheaper than brown eggs!.

- Try buying skim milk, which is cheaper than 2 percent milk!.

- Meat lovers don't have to become involuntary vegetarians because of high food prices!. When it comes to breakfast meat, bacon actually is less expensive than sausage!.

- Make a grocery list and stick to it!. This way you avoid wandering through the store and grabbling things you don't need!. Shop without your children or spouse, who may encourage you to pick up things you don't really need!.

- Set a weekly spending limit to curb costs!.

- Plam out your meals and cook more One Pot, comfort food meals in slow cookers!. Soups, chilis, stews, etc!. The food items are usually inexpensive and you can stretch that food a long way!.

- Try Generic brands - most taste just fine!.

Try Save - A - Lot or ALDI if you have them!. If you don't walmart is the least expensive place for groceries!. Don't buy name brand things like cerial and peanut butter, get the store brand it is usually the least expensive!. Plan a meal menu out for the week before you go to the store, only buy what you need for it, and stick to it for the week, as this will prevent having to waste gas money to go back or food getting rotten!. I do this every week and will never go back to just getting a bunch of crap!. also sometimes buying in bulk helps if you are sure you can save the money and are not going to let it go to waste!. look for coupons on your daily newspaper or on the Sunday paper, as well as you local grocery store coupons!. Try to find things for sale or promotions (like buy one and get one free or half off) Compare your products sometimes its better to get the imitation product rather than the original which might cost more but in the end they do the same task and have the same quality!.
