I've never used a rice cooker, but this is how I cook my rice!. I think it tastes great!

First, it's one part rice to two parts water!. And a dallop of butter!.

Normally, I boil two cups water, add about a tablespoon butter, and add dry white rice (Riceland only)!. Stir a little, and wait till it starts boiling again!. Then turn off heat, leave on hot stove and cover with lid!. It will be done in about half hour!. Tastes amazing!Www@FoodAQ@Com

you put no oil in your rice unless you are making fried rice or something!. after cooking the rice, you could fluff it with some sauce!. but that's all you need!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no!!!! if its the same kind of rice cooker that i have where you put it in the microwave, then you just add water!. ive never heard anyone adding oil to rice before!! thats just odd!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
