no !.!.!. rice is relatively low in calories (although it IS a carb/starch), and eating it daily will help control cholesterol!. Although, you DO need to eat protein and fruits/veggies with each meal!. If all you eat are carbs & starch, you WILL gain weight (and be pretty sick too)Www@FoodAQ@Com
