Can i use something besides Sherry to moisten sponge cakes and flavor custard for a trifle?!


Question: Can i use something besides Sherry to moisten sponge cakes and flavor custard for a trifle!?
I don't want to use Alcohol, wine, or liqueur
Its a raspberry trifle!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can use any fruit juice!. Or jam that has been heated and thinned with some water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can cook the alcohol OUT of the liqeur and it will have the same taste but no booze!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I usually use raspberry jam just beat it a little to loosen it =]Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could use a light sugar water but where's the fun in that!? I'd use brandy myself!Www@FoodAQ@Com
