well kiddo, if you're willing to learn how to cook, most food is cheap!. i strongly suggest some stuff like the following:
rice
beans
noodles
stews/soups
homemade breads
*flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, yeast, oil, salt and some pans, and you can make just about anything bread-like
we grew up extremely poor! never had anything but homemade bread (which is MUCH better than anything you can buy in a store!)
beans and rice can really be good, if you're not picky!.
cook your own food and you'll be much healthier and happier and the money will go a lot longer!.
if you MUST have prepared foods that are cheep:
ramen noodles
hot pockets (on sale 10 for $10)
peanut butter sandwiches
potatoes
hamburger helper
tunafish sandwiches
spaghetti-o's
cold cereal
but honestly, you could do with a bit of learning how to cook!.!.!.it's a life skill fewer and fewer have!.
best wishes in hard times!.!.!.!.(hopefully you'll look back on them like me and think of them as the BEST years of your life!.)
