How to get rid of a salty taste?!


Question: How to get rid of a salty taste!?
I made a spaghetti sauce and it is a little salty, and I remember hearing a while back something you can do to remove the salt taste!.
But can't remember what it was, was it bread!?

Cut up some potatoes in large chunks ( so you can pick them out later ) they will help pull some of the salt out!. also add a small amount of sugar!. But not bread, it will fall apart and look bad!.

Zestynegsty is right!. But you should peel the potato first and just drop it into the sauce and simmer it until the potato absorbs the salt!. You can also try adding a little sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put a potato in the sauce!. It absorbs the salt!. Heat the sauce with the potato in it if you can, if not then cook the potato (with no salt of course) and then dump it in the sauce!.

A little olive oil, a bit of granulated sugar (not much,tomatoes sweeten when reduced) you can add a little bit of butter but not more than 1 tbsp!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut some potatoes and place them in the sauce for 10 to 15 minutes!. Potatoes suck up salt!. :)
