Answers:
Yeah you can use too much Olive oil!.

It's said that 2 Level Tablespoons a day are more than enough for a daily intake!.

Any more has the alternative affect!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi M, don't think about the calories, use a lot of olive oil in your cooking, especially crude!.!.

Abstract from the website:

http://www3!.interscience!.wiley!.com/journ!.!.!.

The traditional Mediterranean diet is thought to represent a healthy lifestyle; especially given the incidence of several cancers including colorectal cancer is lower in Mediterranean countries compared to Northern Europe!. Olive oil, a central component of the Mediterranean diet, is believed to beneficially affect numerous biological processes!.

olive oil can break down in cooking (I think it has a lower flash point than vegetable oil), so probably isn't a smart call for coking (especially not virgin/extra virgin oils)!. besides which its unlikely you will apprecuiate the more subtle flavours from olive oil in coked foods

everything taken to excess is harmful!.!.!.!. virtually anything is ok provided its taken in moderation!. bear in mind that soemtimes the reason we consume some foods is for mental stimulation/requirements not nutritionalWww@FoodAQ@Com

I'm currently laughing like a drain!. For years we've been told just HOW HEALTHY Olive oil is supposed to be, and now you yourself are questioning it - but the reason I'm laughing is the new Bertorelli Olive Oil spread advert - it's apparently now NOT so healthy that they have to bring out a "Light" version of it!.
Makes you wonder, doesn't it - and makes me laugh too - I'm just going to carry on with butter ! ! !Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can - adding too much oil (any sort of oil) to your dish will result in greasy food!. Try making a pasta sauce with too much oil and you will find it far far too rich!.

While it is said to be the healthiest of oils - the fact remains it is still fat and is high in calories!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. Olive oil is still fat - just a better type of fat!. But having too much of any type of fat is bad for you, so stick to the minimum when using it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Damn was using Mr's Doyle where i was going wrong!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
