its depends on where you go!. At walmart here in va i paid 1!.09 for a loaf of white sandwich bread which was the walmart brand!. and at Kroger i paid 1!.05 for white sandwich bread that was also store brand!. if you go to a bread store the price could be much cheaper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Our cheapest loaf used to be 97cents and is now almost $2!!!!! And that bread SUCKS! If I buy a decent loaf of bread it costs about $3!. If I go to the bread store I can get the same loaf for around $2!. The price for a sucky loaf of bread these days-unbelieveable!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I paid 79¢ for a 1 1/2 lb!. loaf of H!.E!.B's store brand thin sliced whole wheat bread yesterday!. The same size and brand of white bread was the same price!. The national brands were a lot more!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends whether you go for the basic white loaf at Tesco or something all singing and dancing with nuts in etc!. tesco value white is 37p but Warburtons seeded loaf is £1!.49!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
