Why are oils made from vegetables so fattening if vegetables are generally fat free or low fat?!
Answers:
A a couple of things are going on here!.
First, vegetables that are used for the production of oil (olive, corn, soybeans, etc!.) are higher in calories than vegetables that are not utilized for oil!.
Second, the amount of oil in a single olive, corn kernel or soybean is pretty small!. For example, only 20-30 percent of the olive is oil!. So it takes a lot of olives to make olive oil!.
