Is there any better cut of meat than Filet Mignon!? No sense wasting expensive wine on cheap meat!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lamb is one of the best but also beef!. Think red meat when paring merlot, but definitely don't limit yourself to this category!. Pork also does well with a merlot especially a crown roast of pork!.
Rack of Lamb
Leg of Lamb
Lamb Loins
Beef Prime Rib
Beef Rib-eye Steaks
Beef Tenderloin or Fillet Mignon
Pork Crown Roast (This is a fully frenched pork prime rib tied in a circular fashion, very impressive visually)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Personally I think pasta goes great with merlot!. However if it were a sauvingon I'd say beef!. But I'm vegetarian and don't eat beef therefore pastas w/red savory sauces also work!. Pasta is great =] I'm not convincing you am I =] Oh well suit yourself!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would have to recommend a nice Filet!. A Cab is much better with it, but Merlot will work great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
