Do you have to store them in the refrigerator?!

Question: Do you have to store them in the refrigerator!?
Russet Potatoes!. Can you just leave them out, or will they spoil!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
IT DEPENDS on where you live!. If you live in a hot, humid or hot and dry climate (like California, for instance) it's actually better to wrap the potatoes in paper towels or paper bags, then put them in crisper!. DOn't forget the wrapping part though, because you'd want to keep them dry!. If you don't refrigerate them they'll sprout and spoil easier!.

If you live in a cool or temperate zone, leaving them in a cool, DARK and DRY place should be enough!. :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can leave them out but store them in a cardboad box in a cool place!. Keep the away from plastic bags as this makes them "sweat" and spoil faster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can store them in a cool dark place, such as a bottom cabinet, or potato lockerWww@FoodAQ@Com

i always leave potatoes out, i've never stored them in the fridge!. just my 2 cents :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com
