Where do fish and chips come from?!

Question: Where do fish and chips come from!?
im doing a school project and i need to know where fish and chips come from, eg- farmers catch the fish, sell them at the fish market, fish and chiperies buy the fish, they get delivered to the fish and chip shop and then we buy them (the same with the chips) though i need a little more detail and i cant find any information, if anybody knows anything about this subject it would be much appreciated :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
