How much are soda can tabs worth ?!

Question: How much are soda can tabs worth !?
About how much are they worth !? Like if you save up a ton of them and turn them in how much can you get per tab !? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It would take a minimum of 1,084,745 tabs (the Campbell soup can tab) up to a maximum of 3,076,930 tabs (type I Silver tab, the most common version) to equal 1 ton!. I know this because I have in excess of 3,325,000 tabs!. The overall average of 1 ton of tabs, based against the 158 different type I have identified so far is 3,018,029,tabs!.

But that was not your question!. The question was "Like if you save up a ton of them and turn them in how much can you get per tab!."!. The national average is 78!.4 cents a pound for scrap aluminum, using the above figures, there are 1,509 tabs per pound, therefor an aluminum tab is worth 0!.0519544 CENTS PER TAB!.

You will hear people who tell you tabs are made out of some 'higher grade' of aluminum', they are wrong!. you will hear people who say that a gallon of tabs are worth $50, $75, $100, $300, a free keg, etc!.!.!.they are all wrong!. The pop/beer can tab is just plain scrap aluminum, it is actually made from the same sheet aluminum that the can is!.

Your question will eventually lead somebody to post a link to the snopes!.com article!.!.!.ignore that link, it has been outdated since McDonald house Charities started collecting tabs in 1987!.

My email is coindude1@charter!.net, it anybody here still believes that tabs have some special value, or if you are tryng to win some contest, I will sell you as many tabs as you want for $2!.99 per thousand tabs, with a 1 time shipping charge of $3!.80Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are worth whatever they weigh, they don't weigh that much so it would be easier to save the entire can and recycle it!. Then you get about 10 cents a can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't think it's worth it!. Recycle the whole can, much better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
