Is Own Brand Food And Drink In Supermarkets Bad For You?!

Question: Is Own Brand Food And Drink In Supermarkets Bad For You!?
Whenever I go shopping, I buy own brand food, rather than the well known brands as it is cheaper and I am not too fussy about the taste!. I also like the own brand beer!. Someone told me that to make the food so cheaply, they have to put all sorts of rubbish and toxins in to it!. Is that true!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Thats completely false!.
Many of the off-brand products are made in the same factories as the name brands!.

And the ones that aren't still have to meet the government requirements!.

I never buy name brand anything either!. But after a little research, I found that there are many products that are exactly the same thing, made in the same factory, as their name brand counterparts!.
They save money by reducing advertising and packaging costs and by just being off-brand!.
The name brand guys charge so much because they can!. Because they know that even if they charge more, people will still buy them because they just want the name that they "trust"

So instead of looking it as the off-brand guys charging less and the name brand guys charging the normal amount, think of it as the off-brand charging the appropriate price for the product, and the name brand guys overcharging you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it bullcrap!. think of it as clothing brands!. you can find the exact same shirt at banana republic and target but all you have to do is slap a name on it and the price automatically jumps like crazy!. its so stupid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on what type of food it is I suppose!. I don't think that is true, I think it is just competition with other brands!. I hope this helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No that is a load of crap!. They can sell them cheaper because they don't spend all the money advertising it!. Compare ingredients!. They are pretty much the same!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do what you want!. We get the off-brand forms!. I dont find anything wrong with the taste, and i don't have Kidney Failure!. Plus it saves money!. So I'm okWww@FoodAQ@Com
