BEANS - BEANS....the musical fruit!

Question: BEANS - BEANS!.!.!.!.the musical fruit
I am cooking beans for supper, tonight!.
Normally, I try to "de-gas" my beans by soaking them in baking soda with water all day long before cooking!. Is it too late to start soaking these beans (in baking soda) now - 4 hours until cooking time, or should I just warn anyone downwind of me tonight!?

Or, might anyone know of a SPEED-DE-GASSING cooking technique I could use!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Serve it with Beano, LOL! JK, I would not worry about it too much, some extra time on the stove and it should be fine!. Maybe also serving it with a lighter food like salad may counteract the glassiness!. Keep in mind not everyone gets gassy from beans!. I am actually ok with beans, but CABBAGE!.!.!.!.is another story!. It's possible your guests won't notice any ill effects!. If you are really worried you could always just ditch the bean idea or use canned beans instead!. also keep in mind, if it does make anyone toot, the effect won't be instant!. You will probably not need a gas mask unless people stay the night! Best of luck! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't know how to degas your beans but you could degas yourself by taking some "Beano" with your meal!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
