"Seriously Strong Cheddar" has changed! Anyone agree?!

Question: "Seriously Strong Cheddar" has changed! Anyone agree!?
I used to love the cheese called "Seriously Strong Cheddar"!. It's even won an award for being the best cheese you can buy, and it's the most mature cheese I've tasted!. Yet the last few lots of it I've bought have been completely different and not that strong tasting at all!. Has anyone else noticed this recently!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It seems like "strong" cheddar these days is what I used to consider medium!. Aarg!

BUT, one day I happened upon a local cheese maker that had a strong cheddar that was actually so strong I could taste it for 3 hours afterwards!. So strong cheddar is not all lost!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes! They've like - watered the taste down almost!. It's not nearly as strong as it used to be and it's kinda more chemically/oily tasting!. I suggest you spending a few bucks and buying some nicely aged cheese if you want that kick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

"Seriously Strong Cheddar" is all about age!. In today's economy, the process may be shorted by the need to move product!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
