Mom tries to gain weight by eating unhealthy foods.!

Question: Mom tries to gain weight by eating unhealthy foods!.
Hi,

My mom is in her late 40's!. She can't seem to hold her weight anymore!. She tries to manage her weight so she doesn't lose anymore by eating unhealthy foods!. Last week she told me that she started buying large milkshakes from McDonald's about five times a week and drinking that to help maintain her weight!. I was at her house on Saturday and she ate a lot of junk food while I was there!. She has always been a health nut, but since she can't maintain her weight she's chosen unhealthy options for herself!. I told her that it's not good for her!.

What other foods can I recommend to her instead of these unhealthy milkshakes and junk foods!?

Thanks for your help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eating unhealthy foods to gain weight is definitely not healthy!. By doing so, her body may keep on building up cholesterol even though your mom's body may still be skinny!. Being healthy is all about balance, not being too much of a health nut, but also being careful about the things you eat!. She should eat about 6 small meals a day (not 3 big ones) and should try to incorporate 30-60 minutes of exercise at least 3 times a week!. To gain weight, don't rely on McDonald's milkshakes (which are filled with preservatives) but rely on frozen yogurt, which is high in protein, and protein helps your body get full faster and in a better way than carbs!. She should also opt for natural trail mix, as well as foods high in fiber, like apples!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
