Actually, I don't think peanut butter has preservatives!. It does contain things that (also) do not need refrigeration -- honey, salt, oil!.!.!. And, of course, peanut (even ground) do not need refrigeration!. I read somewhere that if "additives" (preservatives, etc!.) are added, it can't be called "peanut butter"!. Anyway, there are a lot of things that can be kept unrefrigerated in tight containers (like "meals" you can find on regular grocery shelves)!. Peanut Butter has a good "basis" for storing well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
