Where does the 'apple' in 'pineapple' come from?!
why is it called a 'pineappple'!.!.!.!.its has no connection with an 'apple'!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
botanically speaking, the fruits that are compacted together into the spirals of fruits forming the 'pineapple' are not born from an 'ovarie' therfore are 'achelles', each forming a fleshy pulp, known as a 'hypanthium' that bear the precious seeds of a plant such as the rose, apple, plum, pear, apricot, strawberry, raspberry, etc!., etc,!.
!.!.!.therefore, the 'fruit' of a pineapple is a compacted grouping of hypanthium
!.!.!.!.a rose bears a hypanthium, known as a 'rose hip'
!.!.!.!.a strawberry, raspberyy, peach, pear and plum
!.!.and "so's the apple i suppose"!.
!.!.!.quoting the poem by Robert Frost: The Rose Family
The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose!.
But the theory now goes
That the apple's a rose,
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose!.
The dear only know
What will next prove a rose!.
You, of course, are a rose--
But were always a rose!.
!.!.!.each has a fruit bearing hypanthium!.!.!.so, now we know that the 'pineapple's' a rose, but always was
!.!.!.!.!.I suppose!.!.!.:)Www@FoodAQ@Com
