Coffee beans in the freezer????!

Question: Coffee beans in the freezer!?!?!?!?
When I buy coffee beans I put the extra in the freezer until I need them, does this really keep them fresh longer or is there a better way!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No, it actually dries them out!
I'm a coffee snob and I used to do that myself until I talked to a real expert who explained that in opening up the frozen airtight container moisture is released!.
This doesn't happen at room temp!
Now I simply keep them at room temp and I make a better cup of coffee, especially towards the end of the pound!
