Question: What makes soft crabs soft!?

As the crab grows, it will "toss" it's shell and grow a new one!. Just after it sheds the shell, the new one will be soft as it grows into it!. That is the soft shell stage!. The shell eventually hardens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Soft shell crabs are crabs that have just molted (shedded) their shell since they outgrew their old hard shell!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It doesn't last long! It is the time just after they shed their hardshell to grow bigger!.
