I come from a pretty Italian family and eating raw meat is the norm!.!.
but consider this!.!.!. in Naples the meat is freshly killed !.!.!.
In your local supermarket its days old, handled by many strangers
and can sit for weeks in the cooler!.!.
Ideally meat SHOULD be eaten raw(heat destroys nutrients)
!.!.!. but unfortunately bacteria, parasites and unstable flesh make
raw meat extremely dangerous so the heat destroys those too!!
Its not necessarily the length of time you cook the meat !.!.
but the internal temperature that is most important!.!.!.
get yourself a meat thermometer
Meat Internal Temp!.
Fresh ground beef, veal, lamb, pork 160°F 71°C
Beef, veal, lamb roasts, steaks, chops: medium rare 145°F 63°C
Beef, veal, lamb roasts, steaks, chops: medium 160°F 71°C
Beef, veal, lamb roasts, steaks, chops: well done 170°F 77°C
Fresh pork roasts, steaks, chops: medium 160°F 71°C
Fresh pork roasts, steaks, chops: well done 170°F 77°C
Ham: cooked before eating 160°F 71°C
Ham: fully cooked, to reheat 140°F 60°C
Ground chicken/turkey 165° F 74°C
Whole chicken/turkey 180° F 82°C
Poultry breasts, roasts 170° F 77°C
reach those temps!. perfect meat!.!.!. not dry!.!.!. not tough!.!.!.not raw
hope that helps!!!

eating raw meat isn't bad!.
Its the possible bacteria and other baddies that are on the meat that are bad!. (salmonella, ecoli just to name a few)
yes, you can eat it if you prepair it properly and it comes from a good source, and its extremely fresh!. Sushi is a popular version, but tartar is raw beef!.
how long it has to be cooked depends on what the type of meat, fish, poultry, pork or beef!.!.!. and how done you like it, well, rare etc!.
a drawback with raw meat is many don't think its as flavorful, since cooking carmelizes sugars in the meat, but anything heavliy processed (mos sausages, luncheon meats, smoked meats) are completely safe to eat raw too!.!.!. even though most wouldn't consider them "raw" after being processed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've seen on TV, people eating raw meat and they are ok!. So I think its possible, but if your body isn't use to eating like that then you can get very sick and possible die!. Because there is bacteria in the meat and you need to cook it out!. Chicken and pork has to be cooked until the juices run clear is no longer pink in te center!. Red meat can be cooked to however you like it!. No pink in the center or a little pink or alot of pink in the center!. Red Meat is all about preference!. I perfer a little pink in the middle!.also known as Medium or Medium Rare!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hi Edgar !.!.!.,
Yeah , raw is bad actually the bacteries are there ,
There are a few things you can have raw , not

They bacteria get away and it will be healthy than
eating raw !.
But yes , raw is healthy !.
I`ll tell you waht type of , nuts like almond ,pista and wallnut !.
And can have chick peas raw !
Eating raw meat does not cause you any bad , it may if '
you are very sensitive !.
As you said you ate many times , that means
you aren`t sensitive !. But next time don`t !
Look , Cook the meat in a little amount of oil !.
Thats the way !. if your gonna its gonna be healthy
with all protiens in !.
And cook till its totally cooked , not with alot of oil !
So thats all and good luck !!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cooked meat takes less effort to digest!.
With raw meat, poultry, fish, etc, there is risk of food poisoning!.
Keep in mind the amount of flesh early man ate!. Like in no bigger than ahand fulll, you should be fine if that is all you ate!. The more food you have in your stomach, the less acid there is!. pH is NOT always lowenoughg to kill the bacteria!.
For beef, center temp, regardless of "color"
120 F is rare but cooked!.
160 F is medium!.
180 F is well!.
For chicken, the flesh must be at 180 to kill Salmonella!.
Pork must be cooked to kill the cysts!. You can ge worms by eating undercooked pork!. don't believe me!. Leave a slice of ham in a gallon of water and watch the worms come to life!.
My daughters thought it was cool that our fish ate ham untill the worms took over the tank!.
For fish, the flesh should turn white!. ONLY salt water fish can be eaten raw!. Fresh water fish and Eel, however, should ALWAYS be cooked!.
I personally like the taste of raw and rare cooked beef!.
I love goose liver pate, and beef tartar,
In really high end restaurants, the beef is trimmed to remove the bacteria laden outer surface!. you can just flame kiss it like flame kissed tuna, YUM!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you've gotten away with eating raw meat without getting sick, but i definitely wouldnt make a habit of it!. chicken and hamburgers should always be fully cooked, but if you have a craving, try ordering your steaks and prime rib rare!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
There's nothing raw with eating raw meat if it's very fresh and clean, although I wouldn't eat raw chicken!. With raw meat there's always the chance of getting sick from salmonella and other bacterias!.
Cooking meat till it's well done on very high heat will kill any bacteria!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
