Not really!. Very high saturated fats!. The same bad saturated fats that are found in steaks!. One medium sized coconut about 4 1/2 inches across is a whopping 1405 calories! it has 133g of fat in which 118g are saturated! It is cholesterol free, however, and packs in 35g of fiber!. i think there is a considerable difference between the saturated fat you find in a coconut and the saturated fat you would find in something like a doughnut - i don't think saturated fat in steak is necessarily bad, depending on how it is cooked and how the animal has been reared (i!.e!. fed)!. there is a difference between fats made by people, and fats existing in animals naturally!. (contrary to popular belief, your dietry requirements do include saturated fats, just in small quantities)!. i think coconut is the same as with most things - it's good for you, just in moderation!. i think virtually anything that is good for you is bad for you in too much quantity (e!.g!. blueberries are super good for you but if you have too many you take in more sugar that necessary)!.
