Can you freeze mild cheddar cheese?!

Question: Can you freeze mild cheddar cheese!?
I'd like to freeze a block of it to use later but am not sure how well it would handle being frozen and then defrosted!. It's never been opened either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I freeze mine all the time!. When it's on sale, I buy several blocks at a time!. I just put them in the freezer in a freezer bag in the size I want to use when I take it out to refrigerate it!. You can put the sealed one right in the freezer without a freezer bag if you want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can! You can even freeze milk! It separates a bit, but you just have to mix it up!. I don't like fat free milk as well frozen though!. As far as cheese goes, I would perhaps have it already cut up!. I did this with a brick of cheese one time, but I didn't like the way that sliced afterwards!. People also have shredded cheese on pizza's and cheddar with others that have been frozen:) Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well what i do is i shred it first and then freeze it and it defrosts just fine ! This is a great way to make sure your cheese doesn't get mouldy !Www@FoodAQ@Com
